rough-legged hawk

Yesterday we went to the most north west corner of Utah in our quest to travel down all the paved roads in Utah. Not many people but plenty of animals. We spotted this bird on a telephone pole.He turned out to be a rough-legged hawk that lived here only in the winter. In the summer he lived in the north most part of Alaska and Canada.
